Length Balsa can be used for many things including:

• Surfboards:  balsa is a remarkably fantastic material for surfboards. Many of the world's finest surfboards are shaped using balsa as their inner-core material, providing ample buoyancy and world-class performance characteristics.
• Prop Building: using balsa as a prop-building material allows for fast efficient development to take place, using a renewable resource that is both light-weight yet strong, and of course easy to work with.
• Furniture: Designers are increasingly turning to balsa wood as a material for furniture, lauding its sustainability as a fast-growing tree along with its aesthetic properties.
