40mm Blue Slate Chippings also known as Welsh Blue Slate is a popular and versatile decorative slate ideal for pathways, borders and rockery areas, as well as been a fish friendly material it can also be used around ponds and other water features.
40mm Blue Slate Chippings are very popular with our customers, as it’s bright bold colour adds a stunning affect in any garden or landscape project.
This decorative slate is very pleasing to the eye and looks refreshing when both wet or dry.With this blue slate having a fantastic look both wet and dry it also will be a good contender to use as water features or around ponds.
Blue Slate Chippings is easy to lay and very low cost compared to block paving, tarmac or concrete. These high strength slate chippings are very hard wearing making them suitable for driveways. The stones shape binds well together so that when driven upon the material wont disperse, Also they are easy to walk along which is why this product is ideal use for pathways as well as driveways.

Size, Colour & Dust of 40mm Blue Slate explained?
Sizing: All our products are naturally mined and are processed at a sorting plant using equipment to sort materials in to specific size ranges, to see how this process works see our materials explained page for more information, mining process and sizing.
Colour: As all our products are naturally mined there can be slight variations in colour in batches, this is due to rock formation and seem lines within the rock formation and where the materials have been mined, please see our materials explained pages for more information on mining processes.
Dust: With all naturally mined products coming from the quarries there is a certain amount of dust within and on the materials when shipped out, this is either caused by the blasting or digging at the quarries.
The dust can be cleared by simply hosing the materials once laid or letting nature take it’s course by letting the dust wash away over time with rain fall.

Collection & Delivery
COLLECTIONS: MON-FRI 7:30AM-5PM
With current COVID considerations afoot we endeavour to deliver to you to limit the foot-traffic on site. In circumstances where you wish to collect your order we manage this using a time-slot calendar whereby our team will contact you following completion of your order and advise of available time-slots within which you are able to collect your items from our site.
Should you have any concerns and wish to discuss prior to completing your order we advise calling ahead on 01757 270233. Collection service available from Y08 8LG.
Should we experience any highway or supply delays you will be notified immediately and offered another time slot.
DELIVERY: MON-FRI 8AM-4:30PM
All orders must be placed and reserved before a delivery slot is allocated, we require at least 24hours notice to ensure we include your order on our run.
Whilst we see the vast majority of deliveries completed within the working week, we ask that you allow up to 10 working days during exceptionally busy periods. If your post code is not in our delivery database we offer an arranged delivery which can be payed separately over the phone or upon delivery.
All deliveries adhere to the Government COVID guidelines.
If you have a cutting list we will need to pass this over to our saw mill. They will advise a suitable turn around for completion which will impact your delivery time. Due to busy periods we are very rarely able to do this on the same day!
